Been busy out here in NY...so this news is a little late but
If you don't know already, there's a very special little album coming out on Nov. 27th
This album is called....
"BLAKROC"
Conceived by everyones favorite move maker, Damon Dash.
The musical stylings of the Black Keys combined with some of the illest rappers around, make for an epic sound that has never been heard before. Mos Def, RZA, Jim Jones, Raekwon, Q-Tip,Billy Danze, Nicole Wray, NOE, Pharoae Monch, Ludacris, and ODB(R.I.P.) all bring their best to the table creating what might be first the first Rap/Rock album ever made that actually has soul.
I have had the honor and pleasure to be working on this project and I can tell you it is dope. Every song is fire. I can vouch for that.

このパーティに合わせてエリック・コストン本人が来日予定。さらに当日会場内には、日本を代表するフォトグラファー新田圭一氏と世界各国のスケートマガジンのカヴァー撮影を手掛けるフォトグラファーアティバ・ジェファーソン氏が撮り下ろしたエリック・コストンのライフスタイルとスケートスタイルシーンの展示を致します。

Oakley will put preceding on the market in Japan on oct 1.
and they will hold the release party in Oakley store HARAJUKU on September 30 in the day before Oakley puts it on the market.
Eric Coston comes to Japan and he join this party.
Keiichi Nitta and Atiba Jefferson will exhibit the Eric Coston's lifestyle and skating style scene by the photograph taken by oneself.

9月19日に金沢21世紀美術館前にオープンするギャラリー「SLANT」は、
記念すべき第一回目のエキシビションとして、メディアに囚われず、
ボーダレスな活動を続ける二人の写真家、平野太呂と若木信吾をフィーチャーします。
本展のキーワードは、“ZINEのような写真展”。非商業的な自費出版物として、
パンクムーブメントとともに生まれ、90年代には、スケートカルチャーとクロスオーバーしながら、
アンダーグラウンドに発展してきたZINEカルチャー。そのスピリットや製作のプロセスを写真展に転用。
二人の写真家が東京から金沢までを別々に旅しながら撮影した写真を、ZINEの製作さながらに大判コピーで出力。
初期衝動に突き動かされるまま、即興で写真を展示する、今までにない実験的な写真展です。
コピーによって人為的に作り出された粗粒子の画面は、やがて被写体の意味を次第に消失させ、
網膜に焼き付いた残像のようにイメージや記憶となって、見る者をゆっくりと刺激することでしょう。
大切なのは、「何を撮るかより、なぜ写真を撮るのか？」。
目に見えないリアルを可視化しようとする二人のセッションに、ぜひご注目くださいますようお願い申し上げます。
The key word of this exhibition is "Photograph exhibition like ZINE. "
The photograph exhibition that two photographers took while separately traveling from Tokyo to Kanazawa and it outputs it with the large size copy like the production of ZINE.
The important one is "Why is the photograph taken what you take?"

Neckface will turn Miami inside out for his premiere solo exhibition in the Magic City. This Halloween night, Neckface will deconstruct all 10,000 square feet of O.H.W.O.W. and build a world like no other. Featuring a large-scale haunted house installation, complete with Neckface's iconic imagery, the Devil’s Disciple exhibition is designed to frighten viewers as they enter the space.
The crux of the exhibition though will surely be Neckface's new work. A deviation from the norm, it is chock-full of his signature imagery interweaved with a personal dimension that is much more palpable in the paintings. After so many years of crafting a persona and building up walls around himself and his moniker, the reclusive Neckface has finally cracked open the door ever so slightly and let us into his world.
With the introduction of historical and pop culture references into the visual storytelling, the paintings have grown more complex and more intricate. This newer imagery is balanced by considered application of wit throughout the work in the signature Neckface hand style. In addition to the paintings, a series of metal mask sculptures will be on display. Reminiscent of African Woyo masks, Neckface reworks the sculptures with sharp edges and creates an object that is distinctly contemporary and unmistakably his.
There's no doubt that Devil’s Disciple will be a breakout exhibition for Neckface. The work created will surely be considered his finest to date and is anticipated to redefine him and endear him to a whole new legion of fans.
